Hyundai Creta Best-selling Suv
Hyundai Creta created quite a buzz in the market when it was launched last year against the likes of Renault Duster, Nissan Terrano, and Mahindra Bolero. Since its launch, Creta has notched impressive sales figures and in fact, went on to become the best-selling SUV.
Hyundai Creta comes in a total of six variants – Base, S, S+, SX, SX+ and SX (O). While petrol version comes in Base, S, SX+ variants with a single capacity of 1.6-litre, diesel can be had with two different 1.4-liter and 1.6-liter cubic capacities. Creta is also offered with automatic transmission although the option is only available in diesel guise.
The base model of Creta comes with 1.6-liter petrol and 1.4-liter diesel engines. The petrol model has priced at Rs 8.69 lakh while the diesel model is retailed at Rs 9.57 lakh. This model comes with features like ABS with EBD (standard in all variants), Day/Night inside rearview mirror, lane changer indicator, and engine immobilizer.
S variant sits above the base model and is priced at Rs 9.67 lakh for 1.6-petrol and Rs 10.52 lakh for 1.4-liter diesel. Over and above the features of the base model, the S variant comes with front fog lamps, a rear defogger with a timer, roof rails, and side Mirrors with integrated blinkers.
The Middle S+ variant comes with additional features like driver and passenger airbags, rear parking sensors and camera, and 16″ alloy wheels. It comes only in 1.4-liter diesel guise and priced at Rs 11.55 lakh. Like the S+ variant, the SX model also comes in diesel only though the capacity of the motor here is rated at a bigger 1.6-liter. It comes with features like a projector headlamp, automatic climate control, electrically foldable outside rearview mirrors, etc. The car is priced at Rs 11.80 lakh.
Hyundai offers SX + variant in both petrol and diesel guises priced at Rs 11.30 lakh and Rs 12.78 lakh respectively. Additionally, the diesel variant is also offered with automatic transmission. In addition to the aforementioned features, this variant is equipped with chrome finished door handles and a smart key with a push-button start. SX+ has priced at Rs 11.30 lakh and Rs 12.78 lakh for petrol and diesel versions respectively. The automatic transmission variant, on the other hand, will cost you Rs 13.80 lakh.
The top model in the variant list, the SX(O) is feature-laden as it sports all the bells and whistles. In addition to driver and passenger airbags, this variant also features side and curtain airbags. Other features like electronic stability control, vehicle stability management control and Hill-start assist control make this variant score very high on the overall safety and security. The variant comes in diesel only and is priced at Rs 13.78 lakh. (all prices, ex-showroom).
